Islamic Relief USA Holds Annual Skate for Syria in 10 Cities Across the U.S.

Islamic Relief USA is holding their Annual Skate for Syria this year to aid the desperate humanitarian crisis of the people of Syria. This year 10 cities across the U.S. are participating in the Annual Skate for Syria. The registration fee of $12 covers admission and skate rental and goes to provide essential items and disaster response relief. This Skate for Syria will help benefit much more with food, water, basic essential medical care, as well as relief funds for emergency health problems and conditions.

Continued hurricane relief efforts in the Caribbean

The destruction of islands in the Caribbean caused by Hurricanes Irma and Maria turns out to be one of the worst kinds of natural disaster to have ever happened in the region. Among the islands affected were Puerto Rico, British Virgin Islands, St Barth and Sint Marrtin, Barbuda, Anguilla, the US Virgin Islands among others. These were just some of the Islands that were hit hard by the Hurricanes in September. Even though some islands are on the recovery path as a result of the swift relief response from the international community, some of the Islands are still under difficult conditions. As memories of those not directly affected by the Hurricanes begin to fade away, relief efforts for victims continue.
